Alberta MXW 07 Calendar is up & Other web site updates

Hey Alberta Members!

The new 2007 Calendar of events is up for the Alberta site. It's a bit of a new viewing system. It should make things easier to visualize and reduce the need to compare an event date to a calendar on the wall.

For those who are too lazy to check the calendar, the Western Annual Mazda MX-3 Meet in Kelowna is July 14th, 2007. The Alberta group will be heading to BC from July 12th to 17th. Of course, nobody has to stay that long if they don't want too, but I know I will. Most of us will be attempting to Camp out there this year. Should be great fun!

Either way, a few events have been placed into the Calendar with obviously more to come. Many magazines and auto organizations have not yet posted their schedules for the year, so it's difficult to see what other things are going on in the area. Enjoy!

Oh, and a couple more updates to tell you all about.

Contact Info
If you are all wondering what happened to the contact info for each Alberta member, I have embedded everyone's contact email into the Contact form on the Contact Page. This is due to the large increase in Spam email going around. This will hide your email from spam-spiders that scan websites for email addresses. The previous method of hiding the email in a pop-up window no longer works against new types of search software. We'll see how well this works on the Alberta site and maybe convert the other pages if it seems ok.

Weather
A minor thing to note. Current Weather Conditions have been added to all sites. The weather icons are dynamic. Basically that means the background photo changes with the local conditions along with weather data and icons. The Washington one has been modified to include Fahrenheit since the USA still prefers to use the old system.
