starting problem
my starter went out on my gs, so i ordered a new one and put it in.Now when i try and start the car, it sounds like the starter is trying to crank but doesnt push out to the flywheel. It doesnt turn very fast either.I also noticed that both my battery cables are getting warm.Any ideas what it could be?

Well, those cables gettin warm doesnt sound good!. The starter does use a bunch of power, so that might be normal. It could also be a defective part, you have recieved!!. that happens.

Take the starter off and touch the silinoid with a 12 volt source. It should push all the way out. Take a look at the starter teeth and flywheel teeth. If either are bent or worn down you may need to replace both. I've heard of bad starters that are newly rebuilt so hopefully that is it. G.L.
