AWD MX-3 2.0 Sound Clip & PICS "56K no way"
so i have the engine together and in the car. still need to finnish the exhaust, but you will get the idea. i will have some real vid footage here in a few weeks. but for now this will have to work.
the Cams are so big the thing wont hardly idle. i will get the stand alone in soon, hopefully by the end of sept. im just going to tune it with the VAF and FPR untill i get the SDS system in.
so i will give you a brake down of what i have put in it so far.
Block:
-Carillo rods
-micropollished crank
-weisco pistons
-over bore to 1995cc
-resurfaced
-entire rotating assembly balanced, with flywheel and harmonic balancer
-mazda speed oil pump
-GTR Water pump
Head:
-1mm over bore on intake and exhaust valves
-ss and backcut
-custom length valves to go with the cams
-Stage 5 E production racing cams 286 duration, and a whopping 11.38mm lift
-head was ported to gasket before i got it, so no need.
-Eibach EVS valve springs
Turbo stuff:
-Maita custom tubular manafold
-Subi flanges
-Subi VF12
-Greddy RS BOV
-2 1/4" IC piping
-3" Cork Sport FMIC
-custom 3" Down pipe to a cut off then 2.5" back
im probably forgetting something but heres the clip!

You ran your bad-a$$ engine untuned properly and grenaded your motor.

I would hate for this motor to go that same way... thats all.
Anyway- Thumbs up to Josh!
YAY JOSH!!

I hated to see that engine go up in smoke after watching the build-up closely for so long.... beleive me.babyblueMX3 wrote:A mistake by my part came along. everything was running fine on 20psi, good timing and all. but for some reason I can't remember I dropped the boost a bit to like 15. The thing is with MS you have to run one map for the psi you're running, this map won't work on another psi. so I forgot to chnage the map and was running the timing for highway (higher timing for better fuel consumption) wich was bad and ended up with bad rings becausae of detonation.

That is the cleanedst engine, and engine bay I've ever seen. Congrats on the sick car man... This has to be one of the best, if not the best mx3's I've ever seen. I'm jealous. You've just made my car look like even more of a POS
