A friend of mine is getting on my nerves

He talks about how much faster his 96 Talon (non-turboed) is then my car even though we havent raced
I do admit to him, that his car is faster but when I put in the 5speed swap I am going to put him back on his place
But still, he thinks his car is fast. For christ sakes, it only has 140hp and 130ft torque. 2nd gen Toyota Celicas have that same amount of power but they get it earlier at like 3-4k RPMs, not only that, they weigh like 150lbs less, yet they still run 16.1 at the 1/4mile.

I am going to get him good because I havent told him I am going to change the engine

Everyone who I race, I'm going to be like "oh yeah, still the stock 1.8L K8 dude, 130hp and 115ft torque", "oh man, you couldnt beat my turd"? "it only has 130hp"

You getting axles for that thing? I hope your racing him on the track.

Just remind him that those 4g63 motors are peices of junk and they always run funny, maybe get him to rev it up and his little motor will get crankwalk and you will be the one making fun oh him

Track, closed area, almost the same thing
From what i understand its a jspec tranny from a mazda lantis so normal K8 MTX axels should work on it

yea ud definitly beat him with a standard K8.. i HATE guys like that y do they feels the need they gotta be faster than their friends and everyone else? 4G63 engine are not junk they may not be really reliable but id take that thing over any KL engine or BPT engine anyday and crank walk is not a prob on the 1990-1992.5 years mitsubishi switched the crank to a 7 bolt in 1992 half way thru that year and that is the engine that is prone to crankwalk and it still rarly happens...

i should also add the 96 eclipse/talon non turbo doesnt have the 4g63 engine it has the 420A.. so no crank walk for him

the 420A was used in the 95-99 neon and the 95-99 avenger and sebring..

Since i've moved closer to the bigger city Ive noticed that nonturbo eclipses are very very popular. Half of them are owned by cockey guys who think they s--- gold, then the other half are riced out chicks with nice kits and neon lights.

o yea i really think u would those n/a talons are pretty slow especially the 2g as there not that light plus it has a neon engine LOL
