would this clutch work on my Escort GT 1.8 tranny? or a protege tranny?
it says it would work for a 1.8l MX-3, and the MX-3 and protege trannys are interchangable....so i assume it should fit.....please help me out

The Escort GT & Protege LXorGT use the same engine and trans G-series
The MX-3 has 3 different engines.
92-93 Mazda MX-3 RS model 1.6 sohc f-series trans
} trans are the same
94-96 Mazda MX-3 RS model 1.6 dohc f-series trans
92-96 Mazda MX-3 GS model 1.8 dohc V6 uses a different G-series trans.
The G-series trans for the 4 cly model is different than the G-series trans for the 6cly model.
90-94 Madza Protege LX model 1.8 dohc g-series trans same as the Escort GT
G-series uses a 22 spline u'll need the clutch&flywheel
F-series uses a 20 spline u'll need the clutch&flywheel
Hope u notice the differents in flywheels.

i don't think the SOHC one is interchangeable...
what kind of mods are you running...if you aren't running anything too crazy i would highly recommend the organic clutch disc. that 6-puck clutch is going to chatter (from what i've heard), and the take off won't be smooth. i have a BPT GTX and i have the organic disc and it is working really well.
i just looked up the clutch kits on corksport and the SOHC and DOHC are different kits. DOHC is more expensive
