radiator performace
Hey does anyone know where i could locate a performance radiator for my 1995 mx3 with 1.8bpt swap
1995 J-Spec Az3, BPT swap, mazda speed eibach springs, mazda speed swaybars, mazda speed exhaust, mazda speed shock tower bar, mazda speed bodykit, sr shocks, disk-brakes all around, turbox boost controler, honda del sol act pressure plate, fmic 20x12x3
Re: radiator performace
Rad performance comes from size, airflow and the metal they're made of..nickmx3 wrote:Hey does anyone know where i could locate a performance radiator for my 1995 mx3 with 1.8bpt swap
Low-Pro High CFM fans (dualies) and a thicker rad will give you lower temps your looking for in a turbo application...

Blooprint put a honda rad in his car. I think atlantamx3 knows him. That seems like a nice upgrade.

Most of the time the AT radiator is larger than the MT one for our cars... if you have a MT one swap it out for the stock AT one and it will cool better.
That or go custom if you have the cash. Dual or triple core would cool like a mofo... keep in mind though that you do have an ideal operating temp... getting cooler than its designed for can actually hurt performance and lower MPG's.
