Re: [WTB] ATX for my 94 GS
Shipping is not going to be cheap. Those that did a swap to MTX probably did it because the ATX was toast or close to it. I couldn't really see someone swapping out a completely serviceable and perfectly functioning ATX. That said, if your willing to try and acquire an ATX from one of the Eunos800 (ZE)'s that may be had for a good price from an importer since they are not the most popular tranny's for them. I believe that Tiger Japanese in Toronto would still have at least 4 or 5 ZE ATX's kicking about if not more. The added spin to this is, is that you'd be getting an extremely low mileage ATX. The other option would be an ATX rebuild that would most assuredly cost 3 to 4 times more than one of those ZE ATX's. Just food for thought for you. If I were running an ATX, that would be the route that I would take. Any tranny shop that even wants to crack the tranny cases open on an ATX is going to be asking at least 1,500 to 2,000 cdn for the repair work.JHetfield wrote:anyone please...I know some of you guys have these just laying around after your MTX swaps. if someone has one that is still in good shape, and aren't too far away/willing to ship. let me know please, cause mine is done

Try mazda dealer - you might get one for less than the cost of a rebuild....

Ok.. I am almost capable of shipping my old GS ATX. It has 92k Miles on it and seemed to shift fine before I pulled it. However.. the fluid was pretty dark. So I doubt this tranny had much prior maintenance. Now I have drained the fluid completely from both the trans and the torque converter. I wont charge a lot for it since there is no telling how long it will last. $150 + Shipping and you figure out how to get it shipped LOL My zipcode is 98203
