hose from headers to EGR

Post by ninjajim4 »

I've been doing some reading and I read a thread that suggested using a flexible gas line hose to connect the headers to the EGR since the orginal copper line doesn't fit. I had my exhaust guy put on some high temp hose but it hasn't been holding up at all.

can anyone tell me what diameter hose i should use? and how much i should get? do i need to get any fittings or would an exhaust shop have that stuff? this is for ss autochrome type headers to a millenia EGR. thanks

I can't remeber what car I got mine from but I believe it was a tempo. They have a flexible EGR line that worked perfectly. I know it was from a ford for sure, just not sure which one.

didnt even think of using one of another car. did everything jsut hook up? the threads and diameter sizes were the same? that'd be great.

if anyone knows a year and model i could use, it'd be much appreciated

Yes they used the same thread sizes, and worked perfectly, go to napa and check the tempo, or topaz, I know it was a ford, just can't remember which one.
