Mazda in the Moutains 2006??

Post by funkybuddha »

Any venue ideas? I was thinking going south around the turner valley/black diamond area.

I'd like everyone's input.

Well I am not to familiar with that area but if you feel that it would fit the "Mazda in the Mountains theme" I'm open to the idea. Bow Valley wasn't too bad. It's just too bad that we were stuck with that MiddleEast tour bus right in the middle of the parking lot. I guess we would have to organize some sort of scouting trip this spring.

Long time!

Anyways scratch the turner valley thing. It might be too far south for the edmontonians

Scouting trip should be a good time....we had fun last year LOL

I'm trying to think of some other areas around the foresty side of Alberta. I was almost thinking of that place south of Brag Creek. I think was called Eden Falls but I don't remember and I'm not sure if that would be too far for the Edmonton people. Either that or Whitefish in Bow Valley wasn't a bad choice at all.

I think August would probably still work too.

Either Mark or I will have to check out the Mazda Protege Forums to see what Glen (Funkybudha) has been discussing.

After trolling the Protoge5 website, looks like this years MITM will be Mazdas By The Lake. Word is Sylvan Lake with the possibility of it being an overnight. I'm sure that those who can't go for the whole weekend could still do a daytrip/bar-b-cue out of it though. Might be fun what with meeting up with some Edmontonians. GO OILERS!

Well, upon further lurking on the Protégé forum, it looks like Sylvan may not be the place to go. To busy. I agree. Anyone have any ideas? I was at a place a couple years ago out beyond Bragg Creek that was pretty cool, so I'm gonna try and find the name of it. Was good for a daytrip. I'll keep you posted on any progress I make.

Wasn't that area called Eden Falls or something? It's SE of Brag Creek.

Hey Stacy,

I left a post on the Protege forums back on the 12th of July asking if there was any word or decision about this yet, but I still haven't gotten a reply back. I've also been trolling the other Mazda forums, but nothing definitive yet. I'm gonna try and get a hold of FunkyBuddah and see whats what. :|
