Get your mind out of th gutter with that subject line My stickshift has become very loose in the last few years. When in gear, I can move it back and forth about 3 to 4 inches. The shifting hasn't been effected at all, and I wouldn't really be concerned about the play but now, at higher speeds, it rattles or more so, causes a loud buzzing sound. Therefore, it's time I resolve the problem.
So my question is...has anyone experienced this before or have an idea on the fix ? I'm assuming something fairly simple such as the bushings, but am hoping for someone with first hand experience.
Any help appreciated.
