Need Advice on new clutch

Post by corbanbrook »

Clutch slips a lot.. well.. it has 215KM on the orig.. so its on its way out. My buddy is going to help me replace the clutch and Im just wondering which clutch kit I should get for it.

I own a 92 4 cyl 1.6. I just bought it for getting around in when my old car died but the more I drive it the more i enjoy it. Figure I should put some money into fixing it up a bit more.

I phoned part source and they told me they had a Fenco kit for $149, is it worth getting something more expensive if you dont intend to race it? I really just want something good that will last and not slip like the current clutch.

If your not putting your car threw a bit more agressive use its not really worthwhile to go to a heavy duty part. I will say though its also not worth while to go with the cheapest part either. I would really just advise to go with a stock replacement that is not a bottom basement brand.
