Is it possible to put a stroker kit on a BP that is a 1.8L to make it a 2.0L?is the engine block and walls thick and strong enough to do it?hopefully that all makes sense..

I seem to remember there being a kit out there to do so but its rather costly. From hersey i have heard form many sources going up to a 1.9l is pushing the limits of the motor. A BP is a stretched B6 so its close to its limits as is.

flyin miata makes a fit to turn it into a 2.0L, but Josh also found some forged pistons that when bored out will turn it into a 2.0+L so, look around at miata building sites.

I dunno much about it, but there is an old crazy lookin lady who lives a ways down the street, She's got two OLD a$$ caddies that just sit in her lawn and she drives around in a BOSS 2.3 Escort

Its got the 95 ish body, the one that I would expect to see the BP's in. I don't know if the BOSS 2.3 on the car is for shits and giggles or if there really is a 2.3 that could swap in... or if she put a kit to it...

i have not been able to find any 2.3's to drop in to it...

their are several kits available, the FM kit is the most expensive from what i understand. The BP has alot more room to bore than the 1.6 will ever have (unsleved). so is their room yes definatly. and enough cylinder wall left to boost very happily
