need help with engine

i've been looking to buy a mx-3 for about 8 months since my 93 gs se was wrecked in september and now that ive got one, i want to do a engine swap and i need some info. if anyone out there can tell me the engine codes for the 92-93 v4 and v6 i would appreciate it as well as the codes for all of the variations of the kl engines and the years. thanks a lot guys!!

V-6 is easy, K8 and KL. Look for a cast-in oval under the engine ID stamp with those characters inside the oval.<P>Don't know about the 4 cylinders, except there is no "VEE" 4, they are designated I-4, "I" for inline.
