i dunno its justbugging me not tha tany of u care

so i take my car into to get the rear window tinted the guys asks me oh so u want 5% umm i look at the guide thing no i want 15% ok deal come back and it has 5% on it, i'm a nice guy so i dont really care does look pretty good, plus not that much of a dif. so i get home look at it some more i guess they had to take the rear spoiler off. i thought tint was only on the inside of the window so i'm confused. so the like weather stripping is all taken off, i'm nmot sure if i can just silicone that back up then???

and then theres about a nice chip on the side of my spoiler about the size of a large coin so thats rather upsetting :(

just thought i'd share haha

does it state anywhere in written agreement that they agreed to do 5% if not its arguable

i dont see why they'd take the spoiler off? tint goes on the inside of windows....

yah its not written down but the guy asked me right b4 he went to do it, thats not that big of a deal but i'm still gonna complain about it

Don't get a free tint job, get the spoiler and seals fixed. D@m* the tint couldn't have cost much more than 100.00 and the spoiler and seals are going to cost several hundred. If they don't want to pay then get a lawyer to write a letter and ask for their insurance companies name and file a claim against them for damaging your car. They will pay really quickly or the insurance company will and either way you get your car back the way it was supposed to be.

Where did you take it to have your tint done? Like fry said, tint goes on the inside so there shouldn't have been a reason for them to fiddle with the spoiler. Sorry that you got yourself into such a crappy deal. Did you have it done at some place locally in the Hat or did you go into Calgary for it?

Just reiterating the aforementioned: there's no reason to touch your spoiler. You should get some money back just because they used the 5 percent instead of 15. They'd better fix your spoiler & stripping after what they did to it.
I know your boat; I don't like complaining, even when it's completely their fault, but you gotta stick up for your baby.

what about tint laws? locally hjere your not allowed to have anything above 20%.

IF they did break the law you can use that against them.

in alberta as far as i know u can have basically as much tint as u want on ur rear window and back windows

ur allowed absolutely no tint on ur windshield or driver side door windows

and the company cant be liable for the tint they put on as they can say "off road use only"

i got a tint ticket for having it on my side windows last year and the cop asked me if i knew that it was illegal i said yah the tint place told me

ok so nothing i can really do they said it was already chipped but i cant prove anything if i were to go to court not worth the time

i'm wondering if i should look into getting new weather strippping???

i just washed my car and water just runs through the gap and out the bottom of the spoiler but i was wondering if this is bad perhaps?
