I was talking to this guy at a Japanese shop as I am looking for a KL36 ECU and the guy told me that he has a KL62 which is supposed to be the auto ECU for the KLZE engine!! Can anyone confirm this pls??

you want the kl36 for auto cars or kl31 or kl36 for maual cars those are the only ones that have been confirmed to belong to the klze hope that helps.

kl62 is from a klze, but wont plug into your engine harness.

kl62 ecu is for a klze engine and it is suppose to be the one we should use because it is the right ecu to control our vris points with the curve neck intakes. kl62 came in the j-spec milli. (curve neck ze's) wich uses a maf sensor, hence why we can't use it

Please excuse my ignorance on this... but why cant you just swap your VAF for the Millenia MAF? There must be a reason or someone would be running this setup.. just curious :)

That's why I'm guessing OBDII, because, if I remember right, they changed from a VAF to a MAF when they went OBDII

What is OBDII??? And if I drive a Millenia, would I not have the MAF??? Or was that only in j-spec Milly's??

ob2 mean on board diagnostic
and yes millinias here too have maf sensors

So if I have a Maf sensor and not a vaf, then I should be able to use that ecu!! I'll check on Monday or Tuesday when I go.
