Bumper Lights
When i tried to change my bumper lights on my 94 mx-3, i noticed the screws were rusted like mad. (Those are the screws that are holding on those little light covers) I tried to wd-40 it up, but it won't budge. End everytime that i try to unscrew it, the screws get more and more stripped. Can someone help me? Is there a way to put in another bulb without taking off the covers? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Mike Avila

Re: Bumper Lights
I'm guessing your talking about the rear side markers. I did a little test run for you and I can reach up from under the bumper and follow the wire to the unit. Then give it a half a turn counter-clockwise and it pops out.
Now if your talking about the license plate lights....I'm going to have to say good luck...cause i don't see any back door in there...I'm guessing your gonna have to break that one to get in and just buy a new one. Maybe someone else has a better I idea?
Hope I helped!

quote:
Originally posted by CrazyLilMike:
When i tried to change my bumper lights on my 94 mx-3, i noticed the screws were rusted like mad. Re: Bumper Lights
If it is the bumber lights (side corners) than what's the problem? You can reach from underneath....or did you mean "Unfortunately its not the bumper lights."

quote:

Thanks for the info Mr. Liquid Metal Sir. You'd think after doing it on my last car for other things I'd remember that, must be because I've never done it on light fixtures, just metal.

------------------
Liquid_Metal
'94 MX-3GS
Mazda_MX3GS@yahoo.com
www.MX-3GS.com

[This message has been edited by Liquid_Metal (edited June 15, 2001).]
[This message has been edited by Liquid_Metal (edited June 16, 2001).]
