headers...only made aftermarket, mx3 never came with stock headers, you might refer to exhaust manifolds but not i dont need those

damn sorry :D

I know the technical names for them...just some people call stock exhaust manifolds headers...so i was double checking.

Well ebay has some nice set pretty cheap...260 shipped!!

I ahve a set of Pacesetters on my MX-6, and a set of SSAutochrome's on my MX-3...i am currently pulling everything off my MX-6 so would you be interested in some headers??

And also to my knowledge they never actually made headers for the MX-3...just get the MX-6/Probe ones and then you need to extend/Shorten the piece before the cat....but thats no big deal.

I was wanting to take off the Pacesetters..and put the stock back on. But i really don't wanna take them off unless i know i can sell them. I dunno how much they go for now...but obviously not more that $260 dollars..LOL

But make an offer and i'll see about taking them off sooner..LOL

Well they have the whole write up in the FAQ on headers, but in short:

Pacesetter - Craftsmanship is not known to be the best - Most HP/Trq gains

Brospeed - Best Quality Product - Decent Gains

SS Autochrome - Excellent Quality - Great gains - Cheapest $$ wise

So the best bang for the buck i would say is the SS autochromes, and the most HP is the pacesetters and the brospeeds are known for the quality.

But yea i believe the collectors that are made for the MX-6/Probe is about 6-8" too long for the MX-3's cat to bolt up to..

I have Pacesetters on My K8. Only modification was i had to move the cat back about 4 inches. Well I removed the cat though & added a flex pipe. I am redoing my exhaust to get rid of the raspy noise the pacesetter headers produce.

I can take a pic of my setup if you would like to see it. The only thing I would recommend would be to get the old paint off the headers & paint them with a high temp paint. The quality of the headers are pretty good, just not prepped & painted very well.

As for price you can buy them new off the internet for $230 shipped.

If you have any questions on my setup feel free to ask. I can take plenty of pics since my car is up in the air.

The primaries are 1.5" & the collector is 2".

Not sure as to what size the piping is, but it is like normal, exhaust pipe.

The manifolds are a pita to take off if you have fat hands, but it can be done.

I'll should have my exhaust done tomorrow, then I'll get some pics up.
