Post by gfreire »

Im looking to get either one of these ECU's but need some opinions on which is better and which will give me more power. So which do you think will work best with my KLZE MTX.

I'll let you know what I think as soon as you've completed a little effort on your part and do a search on the subject. Use the FAQ and the search function - they are and will be your best friend on this BB. There are some posts as recent as last month. You have nothing in your signature for anyone to use as reference point wrt what's on the car, what's currently being done and what's being planned for. This is a big asset for someone to assist and cut's down tremendously the amount of non-essential banter back and forth in trying to ascertain what the current platform already is. When I pose a query, any relevant supporting info can be readily viewed from my signature block. This may come off as harsh, but a little legwork on your part is always the first step because issues/topics like this have been discussed in great detail in the past and it's all there for you as long as your willing to make the effort and do the search yourself. Specific questions that relate to those archived topics will most certainly be clarified by the membership.
So, let us know what you've discovered after your search and whether there's questions surrounding this new-found data.....welcome and good luck.

This took me all of about 90 seconds to search, select, cut and paste. And I've been considered a little challenged when it comes to this puter techno stuff...LOL

KL01 and KL07 aren't numbers I've heard before. On the ECU's I've seen, they've said K8, KL36 or KL31 in big lettering on a sticker on the top of the ECU, on the side of the connector

the VAF you want to pair with a KL31/36 ECU is the JE50, fortunately it the exact same one that comes stock in the K8 Mx-3's

Shawn, the exact same question you asked the previous day was already answered;
http://www.mx-3.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.ph ... =kl01+kl02

ECU - KL01
VAF - KL02

If you've got a pile of questions amassed, let me know and we'll go over them on the phone.
