ok for you bp guys. i recently done the swap but i didn't get the intake hose from the bp's. i'm using the sohc cai but the maf is hitting the bottom of the hood and top of the distributor. what should i do? thanks

sounds like a job for the MODIFIER!!! :D

either modify it or make ur own intake, check out http://www.cardomain.com for a lot of ideas!!!

i've seen your intake and i want to have something like that. how did you do it? did you modify the sohc cai? thanks

I used my SOHC CAI on my bp it works fine, i ran the first pipe down below my dist. and then the MAF and the second part runs down into the inner fender.
92 MX-3 1.8L DOHC BP, 17" Konig wheels, 2.5 exuast, custom CAI, inverted style carbon fiber hood, GT-Combat body kit.

I used the same one I used on my SOHC, which is a slightly modified Intake from a 2.0L Protege5.

And, by "modified", I mean that the top pipe was shortened about an inch and a half.

I got it off Ebay for $35 or something...

that doesn't look bad. if you don't mind i'm going to take your concept of that intake and also use part of my sohc cai to create a bp cai. thanks alot bro.

Yeah if I could post pics on here, i would show you how i did mine, it looks pretty good.

Not bad? Looks good. Proper connectors, clean pipe... definetely better than the plumbing connectors and PVC pipe versions you see.
