You call _that_ snow?
hah!
I seriously don't know why people don't just go out and buy a good set of winter tires and brave the conditions. It's really not that bad. Hell, you might even have some fun drifting around parking lots.
That is, unless you're well enough to afford a second vehicle.
I can't stand how people are so surprised by the snow and still can't drive worth a damn. It's like they just moved here from Panama or something.

It's really not worth buying a set of real snow tires in Vancouver, because you may get max 5 days of snow in a year. Rest of the winter you drive on a hard wet pavement. This will really wear those nice snow tires in pretty much one-two seasons and also they do really suck in just a plain rain compared to a good set of all-seasons. Some people do need them though, if they live at higher elevations and see snow and frost more often.

I am driving here. Got some nice Cooper off road triple studded tires. I was the only one of my friends to be driving two nights ago with my car in/ around 6 inches of snow who wasn't borrowing like their dads trucks. It was funny, Trucks everywhere and then a grey MX-3 cutting in and out of traffic like it was nothing. I love snow driving better than summer. I love the extra challenge. But thats just me. I have go myself almost stuck a couple times. But as long as you don't stop its all good, Also the stuff they put on the roads here has almost eaten all the way throuhg my exhaust tip that I had gotten from Napa.... Its horrible...
Blah, its just snow guys, The main roads are fine over here in Surrey. Mind you they were slippery last night after the snow fall, but the only annoying thing is the side roads, just gotta take your time. Only reason I woulden't drive in the snow is the other people on the road, im not a very trusting person when it comes to other people driving like they would on a sunny summer day behind me.

Just be happy you don't have our high winds, blowing\drifting snow, and -45 Degrees C after windchill conditions. Driving is the last thing you want to do but most of us still have to get to work everyday. I don't it's so much the weather that is the problem either. It's the stupid drivers, like the SUV and Truck drivers here that think they are invinsable. I saw 5 of them in the ditch on the way to work this morning.
I hate winter...... 5 months to go....
