Help

Post by vozaday2000 »

Ok i am having problems disconnecting the rear engine mount. I tried to unbolt the brace underneath the car but the bolts on the stablizer will not loosen they keep on getting tighter and i already broke one. I can't think of any other way of taking off the mount :x :x

you gotta prop the engine up with a jack and a couple 2x4s to make sure all teh weight doesnt sit on the bolt

I have the engine propped up well actually lifted up a bit but it's the stablizer under the car that i can't get the bolts out from. the stablizer is not attached to the engine but it is in the way of one of the bolts and i can't reach the bolts attached to the engine so i am trying to take out the bolts from the frame.

all i can suggest is:

A) WD40
B) Heat it up with a Torch
C) Long Prybar (with a pipe on the handle making it even longer)
or finally:
D) Break it off and buy a used one off a scrapped MX3 (what I had to do for mine.)
