Rim width and offsett

Hey, I have 7.5x17" rims, and the original offset for the Mx3 is ET45, wich offset should I have on my rims, as they are wider than stock?<p>Have an offset problem in the rear, and maybe also in the front, and I`m thinking of changing the rims.<p>nope-mx3

When you say you have a problem, what do you mean? Are the tires rubbing? Are they rubbing the fender or the strut?<p>A higher positive wheel (going from +45 to +50, for example) will move the centerline of the wheel towards the inside of the car. A lower offest wheel (going from +45 to +40) will move the tire towards the outside. If a tire is rubbing the fender, you need a higher offset. If it rubbing the strut, you need a lower offset. If it's rubbing both, you need a narrower tire and/or wheel.

I have rims with offset of ET35, so atleast rear (and most likely the front) it rubs on the outside. so I would have to get ET45 or maybe ET50?<p>nope-mx3
