Targa Top Anyone??????

Post by OneHotPrecidia »

Has Anyone Ever thought seen or heard of modifying an m-x roof into a targa top or t-tops? If so PLEASE let me know I would enjoy hearing about it becasue I am intrested in doing it myself.

um yah you knew that was a delsol conversion on the back right? It looks kinda over done..don't really like the the top and the conversion..maybe just the T, but even that might look odd...meh

lol, your saying what I meant by my comment wasn't obvious? I think I can tell the difference between a del sol, and a poor mx-3 made to give a poor appearance of one.

i think that the mx-3 would look pretty cool with a targa top. you will most likely have issues with it down the road though, after market sunroofs are famous for leaking after a year or so, so who knows about the entire roof?

here where i live...there's a man who customizes anything and everything....I thought about doin a Targa top conversion, however he warned me that it may leak and to get it right it would be expensive, he suggested a supra top customized brackets and all...But he told me $1700,i live in the U.S, i personally think it would be awesome, I really can't see myself cutting up my car and wiating on it for a few months to complete this project...So no I wouldn't do it unless you have the Time or Money
Ferrari Red w/silver Metallic 92' Mx-3 GsR: Blown 5 Built motors from my past project and am going to N/A for a while as I get use to Megasquirt for proper tuning then may boost....TT setups have too much lag and too low of a power output for the rpm range i sought....Single is better and may do that in future...New project is custom Alum Mani/ with 3-4" runners...NO ?'s about my previous setup I don't want anyone to waste as Much $$$$$$ as I did...listen to BabyBlue and the those guys and go with thier F/I setups

I must also point out (as has been pointed out many times in similar threads) by cutting your roof the way you would, a great deal of structural integrity will be comprimised (bad for corners and accidents). You would need many cross supports made of heavy steal underneath the car to make up for this lost roof. I hope you are planning an engine swap to go with this considering the added weight it will also encompass.
