Re: how to peel off the emblems>?
i recently wanted to take off my from emblem..to replace it with the new mazda emblem...i used a blow dryer..hold it up close for about 30 seconds...this goes without saying..CAREFUL it will be hot as HELL..you dont want "Mazda" branded on the palm of your hand....or ..Do you? lol. well..then dig your nails behind it and start peeling, or floss it..you will have the sticky residue..but it will be easy to get rid of..the emblems might also be held in by pegs, like the front one is. simple to do.

I used dental floss to "saw" them off, then used bumper sticker remover to get off the access glue.

I've used adhesive remover from a local medical supply store. Might also be available in some local drugstores too. Comes in small sterile pad packs (like "alcohol wipes") or a 10 oz. metal squirt can. Been using the same can for a few years now. Think it cost approx. 6=$7. Medical patients, Dr.'s offices, and hospitals use it to get the adhesive from large bandages safely off the skin of patient's. Works incredibly on dissolving adhesive and doesn't damage the finish of whatever is under it.

Guess you could try that but IMO I'd be concerned about ending up with a paint/clearcoat spot that was buffed out and might look too different at certain angles from the rest of the paintjob around it. Whatever you use, probably better to remove any glue by softening it rather than a friction-compounding type of activity.Originally posted by lok:
