18" Rims?
I'm sitting here trying to make a decision on rims. My car's body kit is on and it is sitting in the body shop being prepped for paint as we speak. No lowering has been done.
I'm wondering whether or not to buy 18" rims, or 17" rims. Are there any modifications that have to be done to fit 18"'s?
Input would be great!

Mx on 18's WITH lowering springs
I personally think 18's on an mx-3 look too out of place. I think you should lower your car a bit and put some 17's on it. 18's will also slow you down off the line.

You'd be adding some fairly hefty unsprung weight going with 17" wheel/tire combo over 15's/16's--18" would add yet more unsprung weight so if those are your choices-I'd go w/17's to minimize compromised handling...just a thought. ![Shrug ](./images/smilies/shrug.gif)

18's on a mx-3 really look silly (my opinion) I'd go with 17's ...What wheels are you getting and what kit do you have ??

If you like to drive fast all the time go with 17s. 18s will slow you down, and are more for apperence. You dont need to make any Mods but if you are putting on 18s get it lowered a little too, they kinda look jacked up with 18s on.

For some 'strange' reason, those 18's look awesome on your car! 99% of 18" rims on the other mx-3's on here look retarted.Originally posted by thebox:
