these images show my ebay strut bar center simply wrapped in the fabric. i used three pieces which should look pretty smooth once its out of the vacuum bag. these pics are the raw fabric itself and was a test fit using tape. forgot to mention this strutbar was wrapped, not replaced. so this is strictly for looks.

When working with carbonfiber do you use the same kind of resin as with fiberglass cloth or is it different?

its a completely total different process from fiberglass. its still the resin type of thing, but you use different resins, materials, and process of laying and sealing.

i plan to cover my dash in cf in the next coming few months because it's painted and full of holes. i have the dash out of the car right now actually.

Nice work. It would be real cool if you could share with all of us a Carbonfiber "How-to" post. I haven't seen much about how to do that stuff.
Also saw your artwork. Very nice dude. I know you hear that a lot. It sometimes feels like it means more coming from another artist though. I was a Layton Scholarship winner to UW Milwaukee for Fine Arts and a Scholarship winner to Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Sadly I have since forsaken Art to make money working with computers.
