Fake Carbon Fiber sticker things

Who here has seen those "carbon fiber" look alike stickers...its like a big sheet of it in a roll...thats how the poor man can make his own carbon fiber hood. will it look "natural"?

i heard there is some kind of carbon fibre shring stuff... i was thinkin about doing this to my valve cover... would be nice if i could find a way to have a cf valve cover made... seen a few on cars... looked very nice

Yeah,

Carbon Fiber "look" vinyl sticker on a hot engine sounds like loads of fun.

wasn't reffering to a sticker for myself.... suposed to be some kind of cf material you sort of heat shrink to the item you want cover... cause i doubt you could make an entire valve cover of cf... the ones i've seen have a cf cover molded on or something

the sticker stuff is vinyl, i have it at work, very pricey. will stick to most stuff when clean but dont think it would hold up very well, its just like the graphics that are put on the sides of cars. got some myself but its kinda tacky, was just going to use mine to cut a decal out for the hatch, carbon fiber on a tinted hatch would look good.

the real carbon fiber (that u can get in rolls off ebay) is not sticky, but the kind that u mold and heat up to be really hard (as stated above) and i know the marshmallow guy on here has done it. that would be sick to have ur engine look like cf haha.. or even various interior pieces like trim or door panels :D
