i hope you have deep pockets because do you have any idea how much a "real" widebody kit costs? you can get the fake **** for cheaper, but for a good one your looking over 3 grand maybe 4

and to add to that, the mx-3 in my personal opinion, would look brutal with a wide body kit, like the car already flares off a bit by the wheels and bixing that off would kill the look of a car

We just did a widebody Neon kit that is 10 pieces for $1900

Kit Includes

Front Bumper Replacement
Rear Bumper Replacement
Front Fender Replacements (Pair)
Sideskirts (Pair)
Rear Quarter Panel Overlays (Pair)
Door Cap Extensions (Pair)

<img src="http://www.krazykustomz.com/featuredpro ... rside2.jpg" alt=" - " />

This was the first body kit that I designed and built for Aerogear.

It may be a possibility to do a Millennium Series kit for the MX3 that would retail for $1500

here it is on my cougar

This kit includes
Front Bumper
Rear Bumper
Sideskirts
4 Flares

Opinions?

Well from a business stand point you need to ask yourself if you want to sell a decent number of units or do you want to create something completely different that no one else is making.

If you want to make a kit that will sell reasonably well, then I think you should address nagging little issues that most of us who already have body kits would like. For example, the first kit you showed looks very similar to the Mazdaspeed kit for our cars, but yours looks like it has a intergrated lip. Well most people, myself included, who have the mazdaspeed bumper will tell you that we have been looking for a good lower lip to go with it. Something similar to a DTM splitter lip to go with it. If you could produce a lip like that (fibergl*** or carbon fiber) or bumper that is similar to the mazdaspeed bumper with the lip built in you should sell those well.
Also side skirts that are made for our cars dont exactly flow well with the lines of the MX-3. If you could make a set of side skirts that flowed with lines of the car you should be able to sell those well aswell.
Lastly a rear bumper that also fits the lines of the car, our cars have a very curved rear end and most kits out there are boxy and it just doesnt blend well often. If could make a rear lip that keeps the basic lines of the stock bumper, but just extends them down a few inches im sure those could sell well.
All the items I mentioned you should be able to produce with a very low manufacturing overhead, seeing as all it would be, is 2 lips and some side skirts. What a I mentioned and a true widebody kit, I feel would sell the best.
Sorry to write so much, but I just didnt see anyone touch on those subjects.

but the flater rear wing is closer to a j-spec wing...which is what i want...but i want this to look good on the car, the us-spec wing is too rounded and not agressive enough.

im really glad to see your interest in the mx-3. this is awsome cuz hoefully, you guys do go ahead with a project for us and take that risk...something every buisness has to choose. read the above post cuz its a good one on that.

about the wide body...umm idk bout the wide body but if you do do it and get it...MAKE IT FUNCTIONAL. cut away the old fender and make it so you CAN use a wider rim and tire.

i really hate to use this pic but here is a perefect example of it.(lilgtr gone:( ) look at the slits in the fender...a functional wide body kit for the car...

id hate to disagree, but i disagree. :freak: not all the wide kits are those boxy types.. some are just widening the entire fender, with the rear vent at the end of the fender.. which im sure you've seen before. also about the boxy kits, if youve seen the cfiber widebody subaru in the new sti it has those 'boxy' fenders, but it looks very nice and it would look very nice on the mx-3 with the proper wheel spacers.

i mean sure if you ADD-ON a bubble fender flare, it'll look crapy because true the mx-3 fender is wide already, but if you cut off the stock fender or replace it entirely with a wider fender, it'll look proper and nice. sorry guys ill try to get those widebody drawings scanned in that i did.

i think an evo kit with some nice thin fender flares... not to bulky because it is true, our fenders are wide as it is. But for sure i think in my opinion a new EVO KIT would look really hot!
i vote EVO kit

Here are pics of the new Gator Style kit that we are brining out for the Eclipse. The staff at Aerogear's west coast product development think that this would be a great choice for the MX3.

I like it, if the gator kit is not made for the mx-3 as the new kit your making would you consider making just a few for the people that might want it.
