FX Designs Body Kit Install Question
I'm thinking of getting the FX Designs body kit, which will put me back just a few $'s. Would I be able to install the kit myself, or would I need to get it done at a shop?

Re: FX Designs Body Kit Install Question
Theres a video on there website that kinda walks you through the installation prosess, that might help, a guy on here said that his bumper came to him of a a few cm on each side which might be a set back when putting it on your self, if your having it painted by someone else then i think it would be best to have them put it on, assuming they have know how, but anyways hopefully that kinda helps":P probably not but hey

If you have access to an air compressor, pneumatic saw, pop rivets, and fiberglass cloth and resin, ( and know how to use it all), then go ahead and do it yourself. If not, have someone else do it. If you live near Norfolk, Va, I'll do it.

Re: FX Designs Body Kit Install Question
I was the one who received the front bumper a bit too wide. It's all a matter of how much time and money you have. I wanted to save a few bucks by doing it myself. I was a real pain in the a-- but I managed to get it looking good. If you really don't feel like pissing around with it then get it professionally done. Re: FX Designs Body Kit Install Question
I've put on my G-Force body kit myself. There's a lot of pissing around that you have to do from making sure that the corners fit right to that stupid mesh that I can't seem to fit over the air dam. However, I've learned a lot and if I needed to do it again for somebody else then I could. Doing it yourself is not only about saving bucks, but if you had a problem in the future (ex. cracked bumpers, replacing kit, etc.), at least you could do it yourself and not wait for some freakin body shop to do it 2 weeks later.
Estimated time that it took me 18 HRS (had to wait for glue to dry)
Estimated money that I saved $--- (I bought too many wrong products and tools)
Estimated knowledge that I gained priceless
one
