Need help with my freshly painted calipers

Post by Brainless »

I painted my front right caliper yellow like 2 weeks ago and did the left one today. I noticed that the right one is already dirty so I took off the wheel to clean the caliper but water and towelcan do the job.
What can I do?
------------------
Brainless
93 Red RS
geocities.com/j_micho (last update 30/07/2001)

I painted mine red and I clean mine with some mild soap and a dish towel. I have noticed if you use any type of harsh chemicals it eats away the paint. If you need to touch them up leave them on the car and use a peice of cardboard to catch the over spray, it's alot easier than taking them off agian.

I had mine powder coated (purple) and although it's more expensive to do, (you need the caliper seal kit etc..) they're easy to clean... any chemical you want! spray on spray off... clean!

What type of paint did you use? I used VHT Brake Caliper paint, and it's easy to clean. Whenever I wash my car, I just scrub the calipers and the brake dust comes right off.
------------------
----
Gary Mui ( gary.mui@sinnovations2.com )
Sales Representative
Streamline Innovations 2
Vancouver, BC
604.312.9588
www.sinnovations2.com
mx3slimvisors.2ya.com
