Oil leak on ZE

Post by bmwm3guy »

Anyone else have this problem of oil pissing a constant stream down the passenger side (Timing belt side) of the motor? I suspect that the issue lies within the seal of the dipstick. I noticed it was very loose whn the motor was out and the bolt that secures it to the timing belt cover. ANyone else have this issue? and how would I go about fixing this? I figured just high temp caulking or sealant...

unbolt the one bolt holding the bracket in place and the whole tube pops out. be careful not to bend & break it though. There is a rubber o-ring that secures the tube into the oil pan.

I had a problem with my oil filter seal sealing properly, all this oil on the front side of the motor & all over the air compressor :(
