I also need some help. Gonna swap to the KL-DE engine.
Do I need the engine complete with all cables or can I use the cables from the K8 engine?

You should be able to use anything from your existing parts. Just get the KLDE long block inlcuding the intake manifold and throttle body, and you should be good to go.

Thanks lakersfan1!
MMike: Sorry, but I don't like to post a new thread with almost the same topic. So I thought it was ok. But I will remember that.

Talon info isn't correct about the second point

1. You can use both fuel rails, no problem
2. Use you stock mx-3 distributor the klze WON'T work
3. I can sent you some pictures of the vris I have a few klze engines around here, so that won't be a problem.

1-both have the same injectors and fuel rails so either one is ok

2-as of today never saw somebody use the ze disty except for a msd set-up and that was in a probe ..so that means use your stock one

3-it's not really that complicated...it's start from a nipple where the actuators are mounted..then there's the check valve and vacuum chamber..then it splits in 2..on goes into the first actuator and the second one in the other actuator..then each actuator goes to it's solenoid
