very cold... no power steering

Post by bubbaflaat »

Alright.

I woke up for school one day started my car to warm it up. It was -15 all that day. Let it warm up for like 10min. Everything fine. Then after school I went to my car to drive to work. Started and everything just fine, but when I went to drive I had no power steering. I just thought that it froze or something. But it didn't get better as it warmed up. And then after I parked it that night. I woke up to a big puddle of power steering fluid. And it doesn't work at all. And there is P/S fluid all over in the engine bay. PLEASE help. Has anyone had anything like this happen?!

sounds like ull need new power steering pump, sounds like yours got broken, unless you can get rebuild kit and rebuild it yourself.

so hose popped off and all PS fluid came out? and you drove it like that for while uh oh... better check it, probably damaged it pretty bad without fluid inside it, but maybe u got lucky and it will live for some quite while .
