Check this out!

Post by David Coleman »

Hey guys,
I know alot of you guys have tried to get your ride into various
publications in the past. And, though you put alot of effort into your MX,
you get shafted cause all SCC or Super Street wants to see is Hondas or
Integras. Well, I've been talking with a guy who is starting up a new
magazine which will highlight the Ford/Mazda compacts like the Protege,
Probe, MX-3, Escort, and Focus. He is just asking for submissions now, but
if you submit some good quality stuff early on, us MX-3 owners can dominate
this new publication! The current URL is www.escorttuner.com . I know
Abrams has an article already published in Autospeed; lets get some
MX-respect out there guys [and ladies]! As soon as it stops pouring 2-4
inches every afternoon, I'm gonna take some shots of my car and send them
in.
------------------
David Coleman- Moderator
1993 Mazda MX-3 GS Special Edition
Why get clear tail lights when only Geo Metros are gonna see them?

This is great news! It's true that every compact performance magazine I see is dominated by Honda\Acura. It gets very frustrating... I can't wait for this new mag. to be published!
-Jordan

Thanks Dave. Its very important that you represent. This is prolly the most fun community in the variety.
Mags not made by corps or a biast group of salesmen. This magazine is designed to give back to the community.
Like what Honda gets out of its magazines will not happen with us! The community will construct its own path, a better path.
*cough disclaimer Type R stickers in ET magazine will not allow for a dyno proven 20hp gain*

Dave-
I was pretty excited to hear the news and thought that I would subscribe early, to help
get this mag going, but holly crap, a 1-year
subscription is $45 US, and over $50 Ca,
Sport compact is $17.99, and Super Street is $12.00 for 1 year or $18 for 2. I hope this mag does well, we need a place to showcase our cars, $50 though????????
Side note-Sport compact did a nice piece on corcksports project mx-3 in March 2000. Of course we all know what it has to offer so it may not excite anyone to much but it did give us some props in the last line of the article "In terms of bang-for-the-buck, the big V6 swap is hard to beat. And when it comes to the occasional stop light grand prix so is a 200hp MX-3!"
