92 mx-3 distributor problems

Post by psychocivic »

having issues with my girlfirends car. we originally though it was a distributor as it died at high rpm . left it sit for 10-15 minutes and it drove again. from what i read that was a common distributor problem with these cars.

I just replaced the distributor with a remanufactored one and now, 3 days later it is doing the same thing.

any ideas?? what else can it be??

thanks

well civic i had the same problem except my first disty from az went out almost as soon as i put it in and the second 1 week later anyways i think it was do either to a bad ground, bad Crank angle sensor cause something was shorting out the ignitor coil. i would have those checked first besides checking to see if your getting power too the disty.
