k8 IM on klze = huge power lost?

has anyone noticed a huge difference in power between these and where is the power lost low or high end.<p>thanks

i heard you can lost up to 10hp..but not to sure about that

you will loose top end but will gain bottom end.

i have heard a lot of different responses to this question. Unless it has actually been dyno'd I have a hard time believing more than a subtle almost unnoticable difference. I dont beleive 10 hp for a second. Anyone have any actual results? If it actually is 10 hp, I will buy one immediatly!

the port sizes are massively different in size...why wouldn't it increase power? Porting a head increases power, and if you use the K8 manifold your basically only limiting the port sizes on the heads to the K8 size which will limit power. <p>Maybe i'll dyno my car before and after for you guys....i still have to find a millenia manifold. I plan on dyno'ing it one way or the other anyways.

wait a second, are we talking, jspec manifold or just your plain old aspec millenia IM?<p>7 hp sounds sweet. Maybe I'll start researching this...<p>at least with the aspec manifold I can keep egr...

Ok at least 6hp because the difference from the 164 hp mx6,probe engine and the 170hp Millenia engine is due to the intake manifold having larger runners(as well as the head ports being larger). So a k8 manifold which has smaller runners than a kl03 manifold would be at least the same difference if not more. As for the egr you can use it on either the Jspec or the US spec Millenia manifold both have taps....

To get the power out of the KLZE you need to use the KLZE IM, the Millenia IM (Which I am trading for KLZE IM's since they dont fit on MX-3's), or a port matched. Even the KLDE (Kl_03) IM will cost around 8 whp <p>-Andrew
