Low profile radio antenna

Post by Spotted »

Does anyone have any suggestions as to a low profile radio antenna?
I am going to shave the factory one and relocate it to the rear of the car just above the hatch.
I want one that is real small and low.
Something like the ones on the newer BMWs.
They have this little "shark fin" looking type of antenna.
Anyone have any suggestions on where I can find one?

Thanks

dont even put an antenna back on, you could easily take some nice thick speaker cord run that all around the rear behind all your pannellings and it will work just as well as a regular antenna

Something that I found that worked suprisingly well.

I shaved my antenna.

I stripped the coaxial wire coming out of the back of the radio so I had about 3inches of that centre wire opened up.

Then I wrapping it around a peice of stainless steel, and stuffed it under the middle console.

Works just as well as the old antenna.
