Keyless Entry and Alarm, need help please

Post by momo1441 »

I posted a topic couple weeks ago regarding my keyless entry and the help i got was great, i got the actuator and the 2 relays and everything. However, now i have put everything in and everything seems to be hooked up right, yet im still not getting any response from either the keyless entry nor the alarm. Could it be that the whole module is bad? but i bought it brand new. I really dont know what it is because my friend and i have checked and re-checked the wiring. Am i overlooking something? PLLEAASSEE let me know if you got any idea on why its like this. As far as im concerned now my guess is that the whole kit doesnt work, but i hope thats not the case. Thanks a lot. Moris

is there no sign of life in the unit at all? were you able to program the remotes?
it is a bit hard to help when you can't see so maybe you could tell us what wire you connected to what
ie
red wire(bat +) to thick black wire in ignition harness
yellow wire(ignition) to thick blue wire in ignition harness
Black wire (ground) to nut on dash chassis
wire colour(function) to where...<p>however it could be possible that the unit is fried. :(

if you bought it brand new most likely its a wiring problem. And if your anything like me its at the relay. They're a pain in the butt to get wired right. You can use a tester on the unit to see if it is bad or not, but there's a very good chance that something is wrong with the wiring to the relays
