Anyone into paintball?

I'm leaving today for Orlando for the Paintball World Cup (yes there is such a thing). I'm not playing this year (it's $600 per team), but hopefully sometime in the future; I'm going to be starting a team with a couple friends.
Just wondering if anyone else on the UBB plays...

used to be....the paintball place up here near my school went out of business tho, so I haven't played in over 1.5 years

I use to be real big into it. I use to work at a paintball field as a ref and I got to play against all the customers and the pro team they have up there. Watch out for the team called Liberty Minutemen(nice name huh) if they go down. Thats where I use to work. I have a Smart Parts Impulse with a bunch of good stuff. Worth a lottt of money. Go to www.wermmods.com he is a friend of mine and was up at the paintball place a lot.

I use A tippman model 98 custom , and its the best stock gun I've ever shot , I also have my first semi a modded brass eagle raptor.

I used to have 2 tippman 98 customs and they were the best guns i have ever owned. I have a stingray with a 22oz tank and a scope (even though a scope dont do much good on a paintball gun but i use it more for looking anyway) and it shots pretty hard and straight but it still anit no tippman!

yup paintballer right here! ive got a tippmann 98 custom, rear ****ing knob, reactive trigerr, (my fave mod, makes it shoot like an assualt rifle), 16inch j&j ceramik barrel , and 21 inch sniper barrel, double trigger, i usually play backfield and snipe the shiit outta the other team i love it when there like "how the hell did you hit me from so far away" i just laugh , oh and btw anyone wanna buy my set up? im short on money would like to sell to anyone! lemme know

Ha! That's pretty sweet. I knew there had to be a couple guys w/ guns on here. I have a Spyder Electra DX. Awesome stock gun: 14" 2-piece tournament barrel, all SS lines, e-grip, semi-3-6-and full- auto modes: 14 bps. I just bought a new ShockTech bolt and sweet mask for cost prices. The deals were great since it was the last day of the tournament. I play alot at my church and a couple other local fields, but I love to play in the woods around my house.
That was the first pro comp. I've seen, and it's amazing how much money these guys have invested. I'm sure $pon$er$ help the teams, but even little 10-year olds were carrying around $1400 Shockers! Spoiled brats... just jealous...
BTW: Philly American won the D1 class and got $30K. The best game was the last D2 between the Germans and Dynasty. The whole crowd would chant BULLSH**!! BULLSH**!! any time the Germans scored. Dynasty tore 'em up and got $20K. Great game. You should try to check it out if they come close to your area.

Ya i was really big into it about a year ago. My brother became good firends with a guy they was on the dynasty team before he left on his mission (yes i am mormon). He and my brother were companions in Iowa and he showed my brother what he could do on a Personal day. Dynasty is the team from Cali that have won the World Chapionship along witht he NPPL or National Profession Paintball league. He came to my brother wedding and he was a kewl guy to meet. If you ever get a chance go at least get shot at by a professional team. They can teach you A LOT! That one guy took on me and 4 of my friends (we are the top team at the local field) and he wasted us. And its not the gun its the person that counts.
