anyone skilled with plexiglass

Post by marshmallow15 »

is there a way i can have plexiglass bent to fit my hatchback window glass? someone broke in my glass friday night and since i was gonna replace it with a lighter window, i midas well do it now.

is there a way i can just buy the plexi, then use some sort of heat to bend it and just clean it off? how is this done?

yeah you could buy the plexi....and depending on how thick it is you could either use a hairdryer or a heatgun to shape it but becareful if you heat it too much it will distort and go black so just be careful.....

well nothing was really stolen and its mostly going to be for the track now. also if my car won't be garaged at my bro's place, then it will be stored at a gated storage facility.

edit: actually, i dont think plexiglass can shatter, but you have to cut it open with a saw or torch. glass is easily shattered, so i guess plexiglass will be harder to get into, in theory of course.
