sweet! thanks guys, ya, im guessing its a matter of slowly lifting the engine out while making sure the harness comes out smoothly. tunes67; are there any places where the harness is attached to the chassis? like besides the fuse box and what not? i just want to make this as smooth as possible :) JACK

lol i'm confident with working on my car. i'm doing a full mx3/klze swap on my protege gt in a month or 2 :)

should i just use my ZE disti cap? or get those pre-built caps i've seen on a website? or just tap the mx-3 disti i'll be using?

Anyone build and sell the HEI mod?

just wondering for future reference if anyone on the site does or can build a working HEI disti? everything but the disti unit and coilpack, so like the cap/rotor/wiring/relay/disti wiring instructions. this isnt anytime soon, probably in a month or so. i'd just rather have someone else do it for me...

ok, with the speedo cable, i've been told there's a 1/2 breaking point in the cable. so you dont have to swap the full cable if you dont want to. also, you CAN use your old throttle cable if you want, its going to be a little shorter, i have a picture of a KLDE installed in a Protege with the Proteg...

hey Yoda, not trying to be rude, but do you have anything to back up your statement about 323's having 1.8s and 4 wheel disc brakes from 90-91?? because i've never heard of it, that'd be cool if they were though...maybe they even came with front sway bars:P what did they do for interior/exterior? an...

323's dont have rear disk brakes, so that could cause you some issues, lol. the only cars that come with 4 wheel disc (us or canada are different tho) are protege lx (us) protege gt (cnd) escort gt, escort lx-e, mercury tracer lts, and of course the mx-3. all of those brake systems use the same thin...

holy crap! you're gonna give your ZE some boost? thats gonna be an insane! you're already coil packs away from hitting 200whp! most protege owners with the GTX swap strive for those numbers, you got them n/a hah, this is all the reason why i wanna ZE my protege. the power and the sound. how come you...
