Hi,
I have a 92 GS that needs a new transmission. I am looking to save some money fixing it so the ATX to MTX swap is out. My engine either needs new valve seals OR new piston rings. Because of this I wouldn't mind putting a new engine in there with the new ATX.
My questions are:

damn, then why did JDM ENGINE DEPOT tell me different?
What about the 2.0L KF tranny? Will it work with the K8?

Will a KLZE ATX work with the 1.8L V6?
I need to get a new ATX for my 92 GS. Will the KLZE automatic work fine with this or do I have to get the regular 1.8L ATX? Thanks.

I need to replace my ATX. What have you guys done with your old automatics? If your ATX was in good shape before you put the MTX in I wouldn't mind grabbing your old auto.

Just recently my Charge Battery Light has been lit after start-up and dims when my revs go up. Just tonight my CD player would only play a couple seconds of a song then pause. It would also dim quite low then there would be crazy characters on the display.

Would faulty EGR cause back pressure and make it burn oil??
My codes say I have a faulty EGR and when I start my car cold I have blue smoke until the engine spins up for a bit or it gets warm.
I wonder if the EGR would be causing back pressure and making the oil blow by the seals and into the combustion chamber. Does this make sense? Could this happen ...

So if my codes are showing a problem with the EGR and with a new EGR being around $500 from Mazda can I just remove it from the engine altogether? What would happen if I just take it right off or if I leave it on but not fully connect it so that its unoperational?

I bought my 92 MX-3 GS 2 weeks ago and have now started seeing the CEL come on after driving on the highway. I grabbed the codes and got them in this order: 16 then 24 then 28.
Anyone know what I should check first to fix this? Thanks.
