Re: Tunes67 - 92 MX-3 GS
Well its been a while since I have updated this log.. so I think I will make a small list here of the things I have gotten done on my GS recently and then follow up with some new pics later this week or so. Finished projects: I got the SS Brake Lines installed and the brake system flushed completely...

That is the correct firing order.. and its different than what the Shop Manuals say to use. Runs like a champ![2 Thumbs Up :2thumbsup:](./images/smilies/2thumbsup.gif)

Re: 21.5 mpg with ZE. What to do?
I have a theory about the CAI intake tubing.. its a theory only and I have no proof to back it up. But.. I think when we reduce the size of the intake tubing to a smaller diameter than the internal diameter of the VAF.. That we are increasing the air velocity through the VAF. Thing is.. we arent get...

Re: Cheap & EZ Ignition upgrade for 1.6 DOHC guys
Getting solder into the location we are discussing would require a huge amount of luck. If the hole is drilled carefully.. it will be fine. A drill press is best for this.. slippage would be bad. Bumpy.. I have been running on my HEI setup since August.. I know.. I havent gotten around to doing the ...

Re: Cheap & EZ Ignition upgrade for 1.6 DOHC guys
I did mine where the yellow circle is. Remember to cut the old coil tower off.. might consider filling that tube with silicone once you have the tower installed. Also.. I cut the red tower and only used the narrow portion of the tower.. but it doesnt matter.. make it look how you like it. When you d...

Re: New battery, car won't crank without a boost
The alternator belt could be loose.. and that could effect how well the battery charges. But.. it wont have anything to do with initial start up. Check your battery cables and make sure they are tight and corrosion free. Maybe run a new ground cable from the battery negative terminal to one of the s...

Re: auto klze ?
The stock MX-3 GS ATX's were not designed to stand up to the torque & power of the ZE. Even if you get it rebuilt.. it wont last long. And I doubt there are many shops that can beef up the strength of the tranny either. The ATX's out of the Millenia and the ones that come with some ZE motors are...

Amazing what you can find in the FAQ section.. and yes.. the firing order for the ZE is the same as the DE & K8.

I think what Dimak means by him being out $180 is the money he spent getting the parts from the junkyard to begin with. I could be wrong though...

Re: eBay Timing Belt/Tensioner/Waterpump Kit
80K? No sweat.. they will work fine for that. This is assuming your daily driving the car and not beating the crap out of it at a track all the time. I am running the same timing belt, though I reused my metal idler pulleys. At the time that I got my set, they didnt offer a kit with a waterpump.. so...
