Re: Coding

The vacuum line plugs into a solenoid located on a bracket bolted to the backside of the throttle body. There are 2 solenoids located there and it is (of course) the rear most one that the hose connects too. I know this cause I broke mine too once  If you still cant locate it from that descrip...

Projector Lens Longevity?

Hey guys, I have been looking at installing a set of the Spyder HID Projectors. Everything I have read about them sounds cool and they seem to be of good quality. So I will spend the $235 on ebay to get a set of the HID ones. My question here is one of lens longevity. Could those of you guys that ar...

Re: 1992 stock v6 shutting off

The 96 disty may be different since most 96 cars were OBDII cars. This doesnt mean they WILL be different.. but they COULD be different. I havent seen a 96 V6 disty to give you a better explanation than that.

Re: Tapping in the Engine....AGAIN!!!

Dunno man.. but if you had yours RE-bored.. did you use a stock HLA? Or did you use a HLA spec'd for the new bore size? In my case.. I just bought new HLA's.. we found (my engine builder and I) that it was one of the HLA bores on the same cylinder where the burned valve was. #3 cylinder. We checked ...

Re: Tapping in the Engine....AGAIN!!!

When I rebuilt the head on my B6 I replaced all the HLA's to eliminate the tapping that occurs from them.. guess what? 1 of the new HLA's taps too.. here is why.. Its NOT the HLA thats the problem. Its the bore the HLA rides in. They dont get even oil flow and over time and when folks dont change th...

Re: Tunes67 - 92 MX-3 GS

Yeah.. getting ready to sell the RS though. Its a good car.. but well... its a 4 cyl ATX.. and I have a 6cyl MTX that gets similar gas mileage. I also have a B2000 as a spare vehicle.. so since the GS is doing well.. Gonna sell the RS while its blue book value is freakishly high.. in FAIR condition ...

Washington / Oregon Meet?

Seems like the summer is 2/3s gone already.. I got to meet Mooneggs down in Portland.. but I think it would be cool to do a gathering of MX-3's before the summer is done.. sometime before the end of September.. What do you guys think? Tacoma to Olympia would be around the 1/2 way range for most of u...

Re: Tunes67 - 92 MX-3 GS

AWESOME? LOL Nahh.. Since I was in the neighborhood.. figured I would stop in and mention the installation of new strut mounts and KYB GR2 Struts.. The originals were pretty bad.. Finally got the motor mounts replaced as well.. much better. New calipers up front, rotors & pads all around. (Rear ...

[GI] RS Spoiler & Garnish

First off.. please do NOT bid or offer me any cash for this item. I found it in a junkyard and picked it up and want to see how many folks might be interested in it. I have a couple of friends that might also be interested in this spoiler as well. The status of this item will be determined by weeks ...

Re: Tunes67 - 92 MX-3 GS

Sorry I haven't followed up with pics yet.. though I did get the sunroof replaced and working properly. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it), I have started a new job and I have started classes at my local community college on machining and CNC machining. My new job will be...

Re: Tunes67 - 92 MX-3 GS

Pretty sure its not the original blaze red. I am not sure what color it is.. but it is pretty close to the original. It matches the rear mudflaps pretty well and those are brand new unfaded blaze red. But there are more than a few indicators that the car has been repainted at least one time. When I ...
