I'd have to disagree with that statement.. I wish that was the case.. But around here the "Crate" term is used to describe any engine that is delivered in a box. It can be used from Japan or a Remanufactured Engine or even a Spanking new OEM engine.

Down here in Washington state.. I have purchased a total of 5 crate engines for either myself or for friends cars. Including the recent engine I just bought for my Mazda B2000 Extended cab pickup.. every one of these engines was advertised at less than 35000 miles from local japanese engine importer...

Depends on the type of welding.. Wirefeed Welders are cheap and pretty easy to use and you'll get proficient pretty quickly.. Acetalene/Oxygen or Torch welding is much more difficult.. heh.. you should see the amount of scrap I had left over from torch welding in metal shop LOL And I never did get g...

It could be a slipping clutch.. but likely you would feel that as well. Does the engine "Sound" like its doing 4900 rpm? I mean does it sound the same doing 4900 RPM in nuetral as it does when you are doing 4900 RPM in 5th gear? Or does it "sound" like a lower RPM speed? Kinda we...

I know of a guy here in washington that will rebuild any alternator to stock spec for $50-$150. Sometimes its cheaper to buy a new one.. but I figured in this case if I grab one from a bone yard and have it built.. then I have my current one as a spare and after its replaced it can be rebuilt and I ...

I'll have to look into that and see how much a GS alternator would cost.. or maybe I can snag one out of a bone yard and have it rebuilt. Not sure it would really be neccessary though.. I dont run power hungry audio equipment.. my car is pretty much stock in that regard. I did notice recently that m...

Just wanted to let everyone know that the sample shown is just that.. a sample. I will not produce (nor will Mr T's Trophies) these license plate frames with the MX-3.com logo on them for private sale. If Jeff and Mr T's Trophies come to an agreement, the only place you will be able to get them will...

Did your friends replace the timing belt when it jumped time? If not that will need to be done or it will just jump again. Dont worry though it wont hurt anything in the engine, but you will need to replace that timing belt before you can properly time the engine. If they DID replace the timing belt...

No sweat man.. we can iron out the details on how, when, where, etc.. I have talked with the owner and if we did a group buy type thing (depending on quantity) we could cut the costs down a bit.

But we use UPS here so it shouldnt be a problem to get it to you in any case. I can check on a case by case basis on how much the shipping cost wou...
