Have you tried downloading and installing Mozilla's Firefox browser? I had so many popup problems with IE that I switched to Firefox and it seems to work exceptionally well.. even has a few nice features that IE doesnt have. Just a thought.

Question for you BP & BPT owners..

What kind of gas mileage do you guys see running these engines? I know they have more HP than the stock B6's.. but I am kinda wondering how the mileage averages out.. more power means you dont have to hit the gas as hard to move the associated weight but this would in theory also require more fuel? ...

I'm guessing that a Pyrometer tells the temp of your exhaust gasses. Regardless in turbo application or not, an excessively (hot) high reading would indicate a lean fuel mixture, conversely, an excessively (cold) low reading would mean a rich fuel mixture. I'm not 100% on that. Agreed.. I just figu...

Umm no.. fuel pressure regulators prevent fuel pressure from being to high. And even if it was too high.. fuel pressure doesnt control how long your injectors spray fuel.. this is controlled by the ECM. A air/fuel mixture gauge will tell you how much fuel is present to a specified amount of air (or ...

A pyrometer would probably be best utilized to keep track of your exaust temps for turbo situations. Making sure that your exaust temps arent to high that your intercooler cant bring the temps down to an acceptable level for proper performance. Just a guess on that one. Fuel Pressure is critical to ...

Sorry I didnt notice the low compression in #2 cylinder.. what are the other scores from your compression test? 102 psi is a bit low.. but.. I dont know if thats low enough to indicate valve problems or if that would more likely be compression rings. Do you burn any oil? (white residue on the spark ...

No.. as long as you get a identical distributor.. you shouldnt have any issues reusing your cap & rotor.. I would inspect them closely for damage though prior to reusing them. Grab your multimeter and check the value of your O2 sensor as well (online shop manual will have the procedure for that)...

Link to Online Shop Manual

You know.. I find myself referencing the online shop manual very frequently ( and yes I plan to donate very soon.. just gotta pay rent first ;) ) Would be kind of cool if there was a link to the shop manual along the top next to the FAQ - Search - Memberlist.. etc.. I apologize if this is a double p...

Probably got it a bit to hot.. in general though.. if your car & engine are in good operating condition.. you shouldnt have any issues.. but it might be prudent to do a coolant flush and replace your thermostat.. check to make sure that your electric fan(s) spin up at the proper temp.. etc.. jus...

If I remember correctly Lakersfan informed me of these engines. They were definately brand new, you could tell from the pics and the website said as well they were never installed ford probe v6 motors. I am not speaking of these engines specifically.. I am talking about all crate engines in general...

There are ways you can exercise caution about the crate engine you buy. First.. make sure you speak the same language as the person selling you the engine. I know this sounds funny.. but when my buddy was buying an engine for his civic neither of us could understand 1/2 of what the guy was saying an...
