You should be able to use it. I did the ATX swap to MTX in my MX-3 and I am still using the ATX ECU that came with my car. So I dont see why you couldnt use the Probe ECU in your car. The plugs are all the same.. you just wont have a TCM (transmission control module) to worry about. Shouldnt cause a...

Although I personally really like the FC, I just wish I could, buti don't have the time and money to maintain a rotary for a daily driver cuz I have to drive a lot. Yeah I probably should clarify my choice there a bit more.. see.. I wouldnt keep the rotary.. I'd drop in a LT1 Chev Small Block with ...

Make mine a 2nd gen RX-7 ;) Though I have serious doubts that ANY custom car build can actually stay under 5k ;)

The k8 uses a hot wire type sensor does it not? any hot wire type sensor according to ASE standards is considered a MAF and any type that uses a trap door is considered a VAF To be honest.. I dont know what a hot wire type sensor is. The K8 VAF has a plunger that moves when air is sucked past it (o...

Threatening to cut any male's nuts off would definitely get a response of some sort  Mine is female cause its my fantasy to have a female that does everything I want, without arguing or nagging ;) She is fast.. but not too fast... allows me to handle her curves and even seems to like it ;) Took...

Well I couldnt really find a specific tech source (granted I only looked for 10 minutes LOL) for the KLZE.. but the general consensus is that it has a 10:1 compression ratio. As for the other K series engines.. I did find this link in the FAQ forum: http://www.mazdamaniac.com/tech/SAE_20920677.htm W...

K8's run at 10:1 compression? I had heard that they were 9.1:1 compression and that ZE's run at 10:1? I will research further :)

Secondly we have the MAF (mass air flow) comes stock on the k8 engines. Sorry man.. but on the K8's.. its VAF (Volume Air Flow) sensor. In the shop manual. And after checking the shop manual a bit more.. the 92-93 one you have pictured is refered to as a "Air flow" Sensor by the 92 shop m...

if you go bring a spare distibuter lol

My 2 cents? I'd rather build the car than buy it built. Not saying the guy who built it didnt do it right. But if you build it yourself, you KNOW its done the way you want it done.

Short ram or warm air intakes are bad. Will likely cost you power. Stock system is actually a cold air intake system. Unless you plan to reduce restriction in your exhaust system (make the pipes, catalytic cover & muffler larger diameter and better flowing).. a cold air intake will actually give...

Air can get induced into the hydraulic system and travel like you wouldnt believe. So while it may seem excessive.. Mooneggs method of bleeding the brake system is the best routine to ensure all air is bled from the system. Or you can cheat like me and just pay Clutch Doctors $35 for a power bleed a...

I hear that the distributor is quite valueable. Valuable isnt really the best term. Expensive is a better description. When the V6 disty's die.. most people do the HEI mod cause it is a LOT less expensive than buying a remanufactured distributor. Most people can do a performance HEI ignition system...

I have one of these cargo covers from Patdiesel.. You will love it! Very durable and good tight fit. Just remember that Pat does these out of his garage on his own time. He does these as a favor to the MX-3 community. Cheers :)
