GS V6 Firing Order

Recently there has been some confusion about the firing order of the V6. The shop manual appears to be horribly wrong. I have taken a couple of old pics and after verifying cylinder location, I have numbered the photos below so that everyone can see where the plug wires are supposed to be. This is h...

Is the engine cranking over when you turn the key to the start postion? Does the starter spin the motor? Regardless of how dim things get. We need to clarify some terminology here. Turn over or Crank over both indicate that the engine internals actually move when you turn the ignition key. By saying...

I may have misunderstood you the first time.. you mean that your engine is not cranking over and when you turn the key the lights all dim dramatically? Turn on your headlights and hit the brake pedal.. do they dim a lot? Sounds like you have a dead battery.. which is probably a result of a dead alte...

Mine was a short in the Gauge Cluster. I replaced the entire gauge cluster and the problem went away. However.. I have seen someone else have the same described problem when they installed a gauge pod and one of the screws used to hold the gauge pod in place went to far into the metal of the A pilla...

Do the complete HEI conversion.. my bet is that the coil is toast. There are instructions in the shop manual for how to test the coil. But I bet if you put in a blaster II or a Mallory Promaster coil.. you'll be amazed at how much better it runs.

Sorry.. that came out wrong.. he put too long of an axle in to short of a place.. compressing the CV joint with nasty results.

A buddy of mine ended up with a axle so short in one case that it compressed the CV joint.. ripped the boot and spewed CV joint grease all up under the wheel well of his car.. but I think his was a bit more extreme than 1/4 inch ;)

I own one of each.. 94 RS and a 92 GS and I soooo much prefer my GS heater controls. The push buttons are annoying and dont stick half the time. The sliders work efficiently. From the aesthetic perspective.. eh.. I think both look good.. the 94 does look a bit more modern. Lots of people like to put...

Hard to judge how much gas you have lost there from the information you have given. Do you have a locking gas cap? Cause if you have lost as much gas as your brief post makes it sound.. either you have a bad leak or someone is siphoning gas from you.

You will need to use the VAF from the probe though since it is different than the VAF we use in the MX-3's. No big deal though since you should likely have one at hand.
