I dont like mitsushitsi.. I didnt like them before I bought my MX-3 and after the number of poorly engineered parts on the MX-3 made by them.. I dont like them any more now either. In fact.. when at my local mazda dealer helping my bro get his Mazda 3.. I asked 3 questions off the bat.. Interference...

Looks like only 2 green wires.. O2 sensors have 4 wires last I counted.. and the colors were 2 whites, black & blue. With 2 green wires.. your likely to be as I stated above.

Depends.. leading to the front of the car/tranny or the rear? Front would be the reverse lights switch.. rear would be the neutral safety switch.

Its possible to replace the water pump without removing the timing belt. But cleaning the old gasket material off the block will be difficult with so many obstacles in the way and I think you will end up getting gasket sealer all over the place when you go to install the new water pump. I agree with...

There are some keys that have quality issues. From what I have found.. the 2 keys that I had issues with were not original mazda ones. Just cheap knockoffs. I dont blame the locks or ignition tumbler.. its the quality of the key to blame there. If your locks seem stiff.. use some graphite lubricant....

A chuckle for the evening...

A driver is pulled over by a policeman. The police man approaches the driver's door. "Is there a problem Officer?" The policeman says, "Sir, you were speeding. Can I see your licence please?" The driver responds, "I'd give it to you but I don't have one." "You don'...

Depends on your location and the going rates there. Around here that would be slightly on the high side.. but not unreasonable. And there are plenty of shops in this area (including my mazda dealer) that would charge double that. Its fairly simple to tell if your timing belt has jumped though. Rotat...

7 hours of labor? Are they giving birth or changing a clutch? Find another shop.. a well equipped shop and a competent mechanic can do the clutch job in under 3 hours tops. And thats being generous. A GOOD mechanic and a well equipped shop should be able to do it under 2 hours.

I am running hotshot headers and I had no issue with my install. From what I could tell the pipes are ceramic coated steel. Pics of my hotshot headers can be found in my work log.

Check your timing man. And check the timing belt. Especially if the car fired at all with the improper firing order. You should be able to pull out a spark plug and smell for gas to see if there is fuel. And there are sections in the shop manual for testing symptom conditions like this.

Welcome aboard Paree :) Likely you wont need a shop to do the clutch for you.. since your in Atlanta.. one of the more organized MX-3 clubs is in your backyard. You will meet the members on this site.. but they also have their own site too. They are called MOCA (MX-3 Owners Club of Atlanta) and thei...
