Re: Check engine light troubles...
This is what happens when a Knock Sensor code is present: When Code 5 is present, the PCME is unable to know if knock is occuring. in the interest of engine longevity, an alternate main timing table is referenced that uses highly-reduced advance under high-load (low RPM/high airflow) conditions. The...

Re: my check engine light.............please help
Yeah, its codes 8, 10, 16 Code 8: Volume Airflow Sensor Sensor Purpose: This sensor tells the PCME how much air is entering the engine. Located in the intake tract, it uses a sliding-core that changes position based on changes in airflow. The VAF also contains the intake air temperature sensor (IAT)...

Re: Scary loud ticking
Low oil is very bad on these motors, as well as any motor but especially on these. The HLA's will start ticking very loud when your low on oil, and even when adding oil it will take some time to repressure an HLA that is dryed up.

Re: ze --> de parts?
Well I'm not far from you, And i have all the tools and experience to do anything you need. :lol: Well the intake manifold is usually the easiest thing to swap, and i am assuming you have the Curve neck ZE manifold on the MX-3, which sometimes has some issues with rubbing the hood on the Probe/MX-6....

Re: Aftermarket axles
learn to preload, and you shouldnt have to worry about snapping axels. That is not true, I had never hurt any of my many axles that i snapped on the launch. I always broke them hitting 2nd gear. And after several axles, you'll get tired of breaking them and going through the whole swapping process....
